Under the Midnight sun

The purpose of this campaign was to showcase the beauty of the Yukon (Canada) and this linen dress in a more natural environment. This piece was designed as part of Son de Flor’s summer collection, with the warmth of summer and appreciation for the natural feel of the material that you crave as the heat starts to set in.
From sunrise to sunset, we chased the midnight sun. Sleeping between 1-3 AM, before hitting the road. My favourite shoot location was in the sand dunes along Bennett Lake around the 11 PM golden hour.
Ashley carefully shot every photo on film. Every photo took time to line up, catch the right light and I had to hold still. Very still..
After three days of no sleep (we were shooting for two clients this trip), hours of effort, but most importantly keeping this shoot playful. This was such an incredible experience. Everything from location scouting, to tracking the sun so we always hit golden hour, was perfectly thought out.
